Nigeria is abundantly blessed with talents and requisite natural resources to support our growth as a nation.
The #Nigeriafirst movement is an advocate group that is championing the call for all Nigerians to understand that our common future as a people in the face of our diversity is Nigeria. Therefore, it is pertinent that we put our resources (Human and natural resources) together as a nation to develop talents in Nigeria that can help Nigeria compete with the rest of the world.
Accordingly, the ethnic narratives and regional agendas championed by ethnic entrepreneurs in the name of politics has not benefited Nigeria as a whole. Thus, we must begin to focus on:
1. The strategic importance of putting Nigeria first before our personal interest.
2. The need to stop the internal battle for our common resources and promote collective efforts that will help the advancement of Nigeria as a nation.
3. Identifying and nurturing talents from all corners of the country and promote competence to serve Nigeria than “it is our turn mentality”.
Our common resources must constitute our strength as a nation towards competing with the rest of the world.
The 21st century realities of building strong nations are mostly derived from technological advancement as well as the quality of live in a given nation. We as a people must be able to give account of ourselves as the most populous black nation on earth.
We must put an end to ethnic narratives championed by ethnic entrepreneurs; their narratives divide us more. Our problem as a people is simple and only a Nigeria-centric crop of leaders can solve them. We must develop a Nigeria First mentality in order to move our beloved nation forward.
